Concept Explorer Inquiry Form
Test ideas, compare options, and understand what's possible — before committing to a direction
The Concept Explorer is the design phase where ideas get tested — not just described. This is where different layout approaches are compared, "what-if" scenarios are put to work, and early decision drivers are identified before they lock in costs downstream.
This service focuses on investigation, testing ideas through various concepts, and understanding the potential of different solutions.
Use this form to request a Concept Explorer engagement if you want to explore your options and evaluate scenarios before committing to a final design direction and the preparation of construction-ready drawings.
Note: Construction-ready drawings for a building permit are not part of this service level.
The Concept Explorer closes Gap 2 — the point where design decisions need to be tested and locked before they follow the project into construction as untested assumptions. See how this connects to the full process: Our Workflow → Concept Design.
Before you submit this form — a note about readiness
If you don't yet have documented confirmation of site constraints (boundary survey / topographic survey), zoning and by-law limitations, or a budget reality-check, the best first step is a Project Clarity Call — not this form.
Concept work built on unconfirmed constraints gets redesigned. That costs time and money. The Clarity Call establishes which gap your project is actually in and points you toward the most efficient path forward — including locating existing drawings, survey records, septic system documents, and well records if you need them.
Not sure which applies to you? Answer the documentation readiness section below honestly — the form asks about this specifically, and we'll help you determine the right starting point when we follow up.
Need help finding existing drawings, a boundary survey, or septic system records before you proceed? The Project Clarity Call includes guidance on exactly where to find this information for your property — at no charge.
